A new addition to this year’s index, Auckland has taken the top spot in the Asia-Pacific group. New Zealand’s largest city scored highest for its low air pollution, efficient water consumption and minimal solid waste generation. Auckland also scored the highest on climate change resilience among cities in the Asia-Pacific group, having launched its first ever climate adaptation plan last year.
