Mobilizing the Green Transition

Collaboration across sectors is crucial in the fight against climate change, especially between policymakers and industry. Governments and companies must work together to raise the level of climate action and ambition. This means that while global climate targets approach quickly, policymakers provide clear guidance, regulations, and support, while businesses bring constructive solutions that are sustainable as well as actionable in the near term.

In this roundtable, co-hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands and Corporate Knights, representatives from both the Canadian and Dutch governments share their perspectives on cross-sector collaboration in their respective countries, as well as highlight the future roadmap for Canada and the Netherlands.

Low-carbon initiatives and investments, key industry challenges, and ideas for future government-industry collaboration are shared by Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition local representatives from Shell, KLM, and Philips. Finally, experiences of its members in pursuing low carbon initiatives will be shared by the Business Council of Canada.
